Why does my new ';color changing'; Dutch Boy ceiling paint keep drying uneven?

After two attempts the paint I've put on my ceiling still looks like I've missed spots or applied it unevenly. The paint is throughly mixed and when applied looks purplish in collor and is supposed to dry white. Instead it has very uneven white markings. Why does my new ';color changing'; Dutch Boy ceiling paint keep drying uneven?
Priming is key when painting and ceilings are notorious for being very porous and looking uneven, You should have given it a good coat of BIN or Kilz first. This seals it especially if there are any water marks. You can still seal it if you're willing to paint it 2 more times though. Why does my new ';color changing'; Dutch Boy ceiling paint keep drying uneven?
You screwed up- Painting is a skill- not a pleasure. You painted unevenly and probably used a brush and roller. Did you prime? 2 coats of primer Also color changing paint means exactly that. Maybe some area's aren't as dry as others due to excessive application.
did you primer the ceiling before you try ed to paint it ?

if not the old celing is soaking up the paint a little of a time

, if your not happy ,i would consider re primering it ,and give it two coats of semi gloss paint .

use a roller it goes on much better .............
