What color should i paint the ceiling?

im doing 2 walls beige and the other 2 walls a darker beige so now im stuck on choosing hte color for the ceiling which beige should i use for the ceiling the lighter beige or darker beige? or white %26lt;i can buy a small tub of paint for just the ceiling.

im adding an accent color but not sure yet im waiting for my hubby to help me choose but im thinking either dark red or brownWhat color should i paint the ceiling?
I would either go with white (to look bigger) or if your accent color is light too, then I would go with it!

Have fun and good luck!!What color should i paint the ceiling?
The ceiling must be the lightest color in the room.

Remember, the more you put in a room, the smaller it gets. So accent walls are will tend to close in the space. On the other hand, light colored ceilings tend to open up the space.

I personally don't like white ceilings, they seem outdated. In the past, ceilings were always white, because they make the room seem open at the top. In new houses, they now tend to use monochrome paint schemes, with the wall color spilling over on the ceiling too, because it's cheaper than changing paints, masking off, etc. So new houses are monochrome. Only ';Grandma's'; house still has white ceilings.

My choice for you would be, put the lighter beige on the ceiling too. If your room looks ';unbalanced'; with 2 dark surfaces and 3 light surfaces, then go to a third even lighter beige color for the ceiling. This third lighter color should be from the same palette of colors, but would re-balance the room.
Paint it white. If you pick either of the colours that you are painting the walls, it will look unbalanced. It is also not a good idea to choose a darker colour for the ceiling- it makes the room darker and smaller.
go with white

you don't want people's eyes to be too attracted to your ceiling instead of what is in the room, do you?
