My dining room has a tray/trey ceiling. I was planning on painting the ceiling the same as the walls as well as the trey. I plan to leave all the trim white. Is there a way that you are ';suppose'; to paint these ceiling? Any ideas? ThanksHow to paint a tray ceiling?
i dont think there is any one way to paint them..but in looking at new houses lately..there are some screwed up ways...one we looked at that was a total turn off had a trey ceiling and the part in the middle was split by trim they had painted everything the same color as the walls except the trim and it looked odd..we have seen others that had everything the same color as the wall except for the part that drops down...it was a light cream color and that looked really nice..i cant remember how the ceiling is in the house we are in the process of buying as we live out of state..but mine will look like that one..i dont want it to be what catches your eye when you walk in but to flow smoothly with the rest of the room
