Do you paint our ceiling the same Color as your walls?

My aunt just got done building a new house and now it's time to do the interior decorating, and we need some opinions.Do you paint our ceiling the same Color as your walls?
It is not usual to paint both the same, except in a loft conversion where the walls and ceiling are angled into each other. It is quicker and easier to paint it all the same; however, it generally looks better to paint ceilingswhite/off white and somethign else on the walls.Do you paint our ceiling the same Color as your walls?
Ceiling lighter shade always.

Even if you wanted it all green for example, use very light green, white, off white or beige for ceiling.

You can do all same shade, but then would recommend a wallpaper border to separate.
If you paint the ceiling the whole room feels darker. It also tends to make the room seem smaller and more closed in. I just painted my room and left the ceiling and one wall white and it definitely seems to open up in that direction. Good luck!
i usually just leave the top white

but now tht i think about it it would be real cool to have them 2 different colors! actually it would be awesome for every wall to be a different colors, but them all matching just in a different colors. good idea! **pats self on the bac
My frien is an interior decorator, and she told me that it is always better to leave your ceiling white or cream, which ever you prefer, cuz it makes your walls stand out alot more, I hope this was helpful!
If you paint your ceilings and trim the same colour as the walls it will look like a big box...ceilings and trim should be different colours.
I paint the ceiling white, having everything the same colour would be like living in a box
Paint the ceilings white and the walls whatever you please, but not white.
That would be too overwhelming.
