Can I spray paint my ceiling fan light fixtures?

My ceiling fan lights are a bright blue and I'd like them to black or chrome.Can I spray paint my ceiling fan light fixtures?
yes, you can do that. you can just remove the blades %26amp; paint those, or you can remove the whole fixture (remember to cut the power first) and paint it.





The one in my dining room is ninties-style brass %26amp; white, and I'm thinking of painting the brass bronze %26amp; then doing a faux wood finish on the blades. It also has those dated frosted white glass light covers, and I'm thinking of changing those to one of these:
